I started karate 32 years ago and apart from a short break to have my children, I have avidly trained week after week since then.
I first achieved my black belt status in 2006 and have worked my way up now to 5th Dan, (one of only 18 women to achieve this in the UK).
Karate is a very important part of my life and i believe it is one of the best sports you can do as it requires discipline, fitness and flexibility. It helps you to build your confidence and gives you a feeling of security and a sense of purpose.
When I’m teaching, I try to make the sessions fun at the same time as being as close to the fundamentals of Skotokan Karate as I can.
